COMPLIANCE - Our voluntary commitment
As an internationally operating company, Kleiner GmbH is committed to fair competition, responsible business conduct, corporate integrity, social responsibility and sustainable management. This basic philosophy applies to the shareholders of Kleiner GmbH as well as to the management, the senior personnel and all employees. Above all, compliance with the principle of legality, that is, everyone's compliance with all the laws that apply to our activities, is of central importance. At the same time, ethical and performance-related values are the goal and core of our actions, both in the business world, in our society and in our cooperation with one another. Not only entrepreneurial, but also ecological and social aspects play an important role at KLEINER GmbH. This is also reflected in the fact that KLEINER GmbH actively supports the United Nations Global Compact Initiative. All these objectives are summarized by the Code of Conduct, the compliance guidelines on competition law and the prevention of corruption. We strive to achieve acceptance and implementation of certain values and corporate integrity among our business partners, especially suppliers. These are laid down in the Code of Conduct and more specifically in the Supplier Code of Conduct. The documents are stored here.
Sustainable business practices are a key component of our corporate policies.
Not just economic, but also ecological and social considerations play an important role at KLEINER. In this context, KLEINER consistently utilises energy-efficient production processes and technologies that protect resources and the environment, in order to lower CO2 emissions, reduce waste, and increase energy savings.
The introduction of an occupational safety management system based on BS OHSAS 18001 will allow KLEINER to avoid occupational accidents, work-related injuries, and illnesses in our processes, as well as to protect the health of our employees at the workplace in a general sense.
Our voluntary commitment was honoured at the end of 2011 with “DIN EN ISO 14001 certification” - an environmental management system recognised worldwide which documents the KLEINER GmbH environmental programme. In addition, KLEINER is proud to present its certification of using an “Energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 5001”, gained in 2013, to employees and customers. It reflects our approach to increasing energy efficiency and affecting energy use in the entire company.
Customers, partners, and employees were all included in processes to optimise our environmental and energy performance. Ultimately, even small measures can be an important part of environmental protection, and can contribute to the good of future generations.
Global Compact - taking responsibility.
As a forward-thinking company, KLEINER GmbH stamping technology decided to actively support the UN “Global Compact Initiative” in March of 2012.
The goal of the “Global Compact” is to promote universal social and environmental principles through joint action. Through our participation, KLEINER recognises its ten principles from the areas of human rights, work standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption measures, integrating these into our corporate strategy, corporate culture, and everyday business.
The initiative was founded during the World Economic Summit in Davos in 1999. The former UN General Secretary at the time suggested creating a global pact with the goal of increasing collaboration between UNO and companies and implementing the UN millennium development goals. Participants in the “Global Compact” provide ongoing reports of how they integrate the principles into their businesses.
With over 8,700 participants from over 140 countries, it is the world’s biggest initiative by socially engaged companies and other stakeholders.
